Jane Flanders began her insurance career in 1971 in Louisville, Kentucky (her home state) as a claims adjuster for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company. In 1976, she was transferred to the Minneapolis branch of that company to be the litigation supervisor. She supervised the claims adjusters and the litigation in the states of Minnesota, North and South Dakota and 16 counties in Wisconsin. After she married, she worked as the Assistant Claims Manager for E. W. Blanch Reinsurance Agency for five years. In 1983, she and her husband moved to a farm in Maple Plain where they raised Thoroughbreds for racing. She ran the farm full-time. Her husband began Windridge Insurance Agency, an equine specialty agency, in 1985. Jane began working with the company out of the farm office in 1986 and then took over full time after her husband’s death in 1993.
Jane began riding at Fortuna Farm when she moved to Minnesota in 1976. She showed dressage, under the tutelage of Kathy Theissen and Vicki Harris until 1994. At that time, a friend corrupted her into leaving the dressage ring and riding madly cross country to the hounds. Jane has been a member of the Long Lake Hounds since that time. She has had the joy of showing dressage in Germany, and fox-hunting with the Galway Blazers in Ireland.
Jon Martinson was drawn to the horse world when he volunteered to help rehab his dad's horse that had been injured. From that experience, he began his own riding career. He has driven horses, exercised polo ponies and jumpers, as well as fox-hunted. He is currently the Assistant Huntsman for the Long Lake Hounds. Jon has been with Windridge Ltd for 10 years, and is a fully licensed agent
Briana Ceder Johnson is Windridge's newest member, as a fully licensed agent. Briana has been involved with horses since she was 6; and earned her "B" rating as a member of the North Star Pony Club. She went to work, at age 16, at Calamity Jeanne's tack store. During her college years at St. Cloud, she spent 1 1/2 years in Japan. Her BA is in International Studies. Briana is a whipper-in with the Long Lake Hounds.
